Has anyone got the files off the usb yet, or what has
anybody done with this hack?

Files and stuff are out, but you cant just put it on any ordinary flash drive.
And if you get the USB modular device (or whatever its called) you can make it yourseld with PSGroove!

I now the files are out but i dont know how to do the survey part of it,
it says my cell phone number aint no good,
can somebody do this and uploaded here,

oh ok,
it says to
rename files to manager.pkg remove the wording before etc... [retail] or [debug...]
so i rename both files to that or what?

I don't remember if I removed it or not but it should say infront of the word 'package manager' there should be [debug] if it there simply remove it, if it's not there your good :) and that's for both of them :) just take out the square brackets and what's in them.

Ok well I actually don't have one of these. I was looking at buying one of the avr usb dongles to program and dev myself.

Basically you need an atmel programmable chip with the USB connector. Basically you download the hex files from psgroove and flash them onto the atmel chip. This is done with the winavr software. Now that just boots the PS3 into allowing it to execute 3rd party code. Now you'll need to obtain the latest version of the software you'd like to run.

IE: things we don't talk about on acid mods :)
