will this kit let me downgrade the firmware so i can play iso/cso games?
-
As long as they are not a TA-88v3 should work fine :)
-
how exactly would i tell without having the box or box code?
-
yes you can downgrade the daxter/silver psp ...the black..the god of war psp..the only one you cant downgrade is the blue madden psp because its a ta-88 v3

Just carefuly open it up and look at the mobo (for the piano black) cuz thats the only way youll be able to tell. But like wasu said the daxter psp is downgradeable :) (i haves that psp! :D)

-
Sure will dude! And good luck!

it helps but how you tell what one is it in it like v1 or 2. i had a silver slim apart and it was a 85 but dont know v1 or 2
-
it should say right after it says TA-85 vX where X is the model, you may have to remove a glued foamie :3 but its supposed to say the whole model, but if its a 85, its hackable anyways so just put it in than once its done put a psp homebrew app called PSP Tool (very useful) and than go to software info and it'll tell you everything from the mobo model to the original firmware you get when you buy the psp :)

and the silver daxter psp's are a TA-85v1 as i have the same one and they didnt change the mobo in that model because the discontinued it fast.
