I used 150 3mm LEDs for the playstation logo and 2 5mm LEDs for the PS3 cutout. i also made a custom base out of plexi-glass so light spreads well and you can change the colors of the base from red to green or blue. base runs off of power from the PS3. comment plz. :yess:
A link to a video of it is below...

Looks Beastly :hifive:

I like... :)
Where did you draw the power from and did you use any additional components other than 3mm LED's
I am working on my FAT PS3 atm and need a good power supply that will only turn on when the power is on preferably giving me 5v to play with..?
Any Pics of the internal layout would be great if you feel like opening your slim up again?

i got power from the blue ray drive power supply.there are 4 wires, 3 grey and 1 black. 2 are ground and the others are +5v and +12v. i used the 12v so could put more in series and use less wire=) and used 56 ohm resistors and 120 ohm resistors and hope to put in a pulse vu chip soon.

and idk which is 5v and which is 12v because i put electric tape around it and forgot so just use a voltmeter to find out.this source powers all of my LEDs at max no problem even when playing discs

-
you can get one pretty cheap just by buying one off ebay and if its broke just send it to sony and they will fix it for $150.. so overall you will save some money
