Title: New to modding, a few questions!

I think this is my first post here, though I've been registered for a few years now.
I've always custom built my own computers, never really done any soldering.

For my first modding for a console controller. I bought the XCM chrome green controller case.

Just arrive today so i'm going to purchase my own solderer.

I was was wondering if I were to mod my xbox 360 case, would i be in danger of being banned from xbox live and have my xbox 360 bricked?


and i'm willing to consider any cool recommendations to novice modding.
(also have looked through the tutorials and stuff:D!)

cant get banned for opening the case but if you where to jtag/flash hard drive you would get banned microsoft anrt really bothered about modding controllers/ cases but when it comes to playing illiegal games by flashing the drive or jtagging the brick xboxes for that :)
