Title: BIOS to die a quick death soon - sucessor has appeared!

BIOS. The Overclockers' 'best friend' has been around since the earliest IBM PCs.

That was 25 Years ago. Due out by 2011, a replacement, or rather revolution, named UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) will be released onto the market. UEFI covers almost all of BIOS' shortfallings and as such, increases the efficency and the simplicity  of the computer.

It solves many of BIOS problems in an amazing fashion:

 - Boot Times are cut to under 5 seconds
 - USB and firewire devices, as well as DisplayPort, etc. will now be recognised properly (as opposed to as an extra hard disk etc.)
 - Computers will now be able to (comfortably) have more than 2TB of Hard Drive space
 - All Current I/O technologies will be streamlined
 - 64-Bit computers will be able to be developed further
 - RAM and Processor Power can be put to FULL USE at FULL SPEED
 - Less errors will occur
 - Expanding from the limit capabilities of BIOS
 - Peripheral control not based on ports, but rather on device

Please feel free to leave any comments about this below.

Well, it is already out for businesses on smaller machines, (thin clients) but I reckon by the end of 2011 it will have taken over.
