I plan on either just keeping a set of batterys (from 20 old computer battery backups lol) on tap in case the power goes out (winter is coming up) Or running some minor stuff of the panels.

I have a mini panel in the works (10 cells). Its main function is publicity. It will be positioned out by the street. Will charge a 6v battery during the day, and at night use that battery to light 100LEDs in the frame to make it glow.

good public demonstration of "going green" for when I run for public office :P

That will do the job. Saving power milliwatts at a time.
