Post by: eNeRGy on October 13, 2010, 05:30:49 PM
ok i Have a usb flasher I made and it works perfectly. Flashed 2 xboxes already and they worked.  I have this xbox and now when I try to flash freeboot to it, it shows e72 (bad flash) no matter what.  When I convert back to orig.bin it works perfectly.  Help me im about to break it lol.

what kind of motherboard is it?
what kernel is the xbox360?
was your xbox a recent RROD repair?

When you get the error does the fans spin really fast?

I have had that problem before. Make sure when you extract the kv.bin and the config.bin from the orig.nand, flash them to freeboot. Also, make sure you make 2 orig.nand dumps and compare them. If they dont match then dump it a third time and use the 2 that match. You may also have bad blocks. And be 1000000% sure you are using the correct freeboot.

only other thing i could think is that he didnt put the original nand back on u can try to put the nand into recovery which would set it back to its true original but u can damage it and the console so it aint recommended

By putting the nand in recovery, it does not put it back to original nand. The only point to putting the nandchip into recovery is if you had a bad flash and your xbox will not turn on.  I think the guy before you did something wrong with the flash.  That xbox is most likely screwed if you havent got it to work yet.

UPDATE:

Fixed the e72 by adding a different config.bin to the freeboot.  Now i get a 0022 error code when I start it.  Dont know what is wrong many people say that if flashed again it would work but i dont think so. help me please!

You mentioned updating from 7357 to 7371?

I know its a pain in the a s s but when you encounter an error try loading the original nand.bin back on the console to be safe haha thats weird; 0022 error.
