Title: PS3 Rapid Fire
Post by: radddogg on November 13, 2010, 12:40:05 PM
Hi,

I do a few 360 mods and I want to make my dad a PS3 rapidfire and led mod for xmas. I don't want to use tactile switches ideally so is there a sleeper mod available? If not could I replace the R1 pressure switch with the rapid fire tactile switch? Or even wire the pressure switch as the tactile switch? Any input on this would be great.

Anybody? :dntknw:

Sweet, that looks perfect.

Two things though. My dad is left hand so he uses the L1 button, can anyone advise the correct solder point for this?

Second thing, is there any way to tap into the existing L1 button or can I replace the button with a tact to retain the ergonomics?

Thanks

Just realised the tact is to switch modes only. So all I need to know is the solder point for L1 thanks

don't spam or pointlessly bump threads, what board are you using?

you cant use that code to rapid fire on l1 due to the way the ps3 controller reads the buttons so its r1 only sorry

~IMO waiting a week to bump a thread isn't spamming. The controller hasn't arrived from Hong Kong yet so I don't know what board yet.

you waited 3 days, AM isn't the most active forum ever so your post's stay at the top for a while, and theoretically you could replace the it with a tactile, may screw up the controller

the simplest way to do it is my code but its r1 only how ever if your willing to get into serious modding and replace l1 with a tact switch and a transistor you could theoretically use a 360 code like bmu3

I have a PS3 and I have been hearing that some people playing Call of Duty 4 have been using rapid fire controllers, and I have been wanting to make one ever since I had heard about it but I have not found any good instructions on how to make one.
