Hello all,
I currently have this programmer http://www.vellemanusa.com/us/enu/product/view/?id=522056 (http://www.vellemanusa.com/us/enu/product/view/?id=522056)
However I have a bunch of 12f683 I/sn chips and have no idea how to program them. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks in advance

Just to make things a little clearer, I am in the process of designing a mod for my 360 controller and just need a device to write the code to the pic

SOIC to DIP adapter. You dont have to solder the chip on to program it, just give a little pressure and it will be enough.

Hey Hazer, yeah I saw that earlier when doing a little research, but the pcb doesn't seem to have any leads off it. Is the idea, that you place a machined socket into it.
Cheers

you could go even more diy and make one of these

then either using the spark fun board or the above clip you could very easilly make and adaptor that connects to the icsp header on your programmer
