Robin its the shop again. when you go to the shop using IE you get hit with:
Bloodhound.Exploit.337
before I got hit with the blood hound, I got a java script error about 4 times in a row. this only happens when going to the shop.
-
now that u say it matt i notcied a java script pop up from the shop only once i tried to log on from school theres a virus on the fourm also i just got a pop up saying my laptop was at risk
-
So how do you get rid of it if it does pop up or you are infected with it?
-
run a virus scan. im using avast, can recommend it along with kaspersky if you don't mind paying for it. personally i haven't noticed anything unusual using chrome, other than the warning when i come to the site.
if a full virus scan (or two using another antivirus software if you want to be extra safe) doesn't come back with anything bad, and you don't notice anything terribly wrong with your computer chances are you're good.
if it comes back with a trojan or something, try and remove it using your antivirus software (i can't exactly tell you how because it varies from software to software. there should be a "remove virus" or "fix" button after you run the scan, something along those lines)
if for whatever reason your antivirus software(s) can't get rid of the virus, and you've completely exhausted every other option you can think of, report back here and i'll walk you through a format and reinstall. this should be a last resort though, especially if you don't know your way around the computer very well.
please for the love of god don't take your computer into bestbuy or your local pc shop because you got a virus. thats a great way to have people snooping through your files, as well as being a huge waste of money.

anti virus avg nod32 panda avast ect not a free one
and for malware use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware update it and that will get rid of the crap that was downloaded
-

the shop has been hacked, (this is common this time of year due to the nature of the store) they inbedded a string of code that contains a very low risk virus. its a form of bloodhound. the virus will only affect your pc if you go to the shop page. this is a well known virus and just about any anti virus program will block it. norton internet protection shut it down just fine. those of you using a freeware av program...shame on you.
Please dont navigate to the shop page until we can get this cleared up.
-
ive been to the shop 3 times to day and im not getting any virus, but ill wont go there again till it clears up lol.
-
Can you stop it Auto-redirecting to the shop from splash just incase
-
ugh so the shop is infected? i came to buy a connectivity kit and i get this reported attack site message. when i pressed ignore, the whole webpage was scrambled into different parts and you couldn't understand any of it. i had to disable my warnings.

Yes that happened to me as well. Just stay off the shop for a bit, it'll be back up as soon as possible. There will be an announcement as soon as it's fixed.

oh wow i got the blue screen yesterday night and had to restore my pc :censored: i was wondering what was happening? :boxed: i have not download any files to be at risk!!
-
i really cant apologies enougth for this - i think i have now finally got it all (lots and lots of file to look through and some code to decode and rewrite and decide if its code that been hacked or normal code. i have asked google to rescan the site. i have also stopped the redirect to the shop temporarily. once i get the all clear i will then do everything i can to harden up the security to try and prevent it from happening again. these :censored:es who do this should just be shot. i mean what is the point.
i will let you know how it goes

Who they think they are messing with AM, Need to die a slow painful death....
Well thanks for doing what it takes to make AM safe for everyone, I am sure your  as hell at them for ruining things for everyone. we at AM appreciate it alot
-
ok so the site seems to have got the all clear but apparently it can take several hours to propagate through the search engine
-
I miss three days and all hell breaks loose? Damn.
-
no more alerts here :)
-
just wanna take the time to say thanks to robin for making the site safe again and can;t u sue them since they bascily made u loose money?
-
If you know who they are. Using a generic virus, and probably several proxies, they've probably covered their tracks well. But in the UK and the US you could sue whoever did it.
-
thats what i thought
-
glad to see it fixed i couldn't get on :( i also cleaned my pc
-
im afraid i personally dont know who it was
-
how did they get the virus on the site they must of planned this or new a loop hole?
-
hmm must of been an inside job?!?!?!
