Title: TI-GBC (GBC inside of a TI-83 Plus)
Post by: Epic Lavalamp on January 12, 2011, 01:40:52 PM
I looked at my broken calculator one day and my gameboy was right next to it, so...
Here's the button layout:
2nd:     A
ALPHA: B
COS:    Start
SIN:     Select
D-pad: Arrows

Here's a video: Gameboy Color in a TI-83 Plus Mod (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJxvT-qctwI#ws)

And on a side note,
Anyone know what voltage the red power indicator LED for a GBC takes? I tried to replace it with a 3.3v blue one, but it didn't even turn on... So a solution to this problem would be great. Oh, and I'm open for suggestions on where to put it

your problem with the led is that average red leds require the lowest voltage of all the colours (about  2V normally) and average blue leds require the highest (sometimes upto 4.5V!!!!)  however if you follow the lines from the led you may find a resistor somewhere you can swap out

That's a good idea, but since the LED is 3.3v and the batterys are 3v, do you think I could just be able to remove it completly?
