Post by: manwinder on January 15, 2011, 05:35:11 PM
i bought a few 10 mode and 18 mode kits from a guy but the problem was they didn't work online for black ops, so i thought i should just reprogram it with some other hex and i was wondering what i would i buy so i could program it, could i do it at home with a few wires, i don't have resistors, i have diodes the guy gave me.

well i would say the pic kit 2 is better for now and pobably the best if you are just gonna be using other peoples codes but the pic kit 3 will be better in the long run

pk2 is the most user friendly as it has a stand alone application and just google it they are everywhere

you put the chip in a chip socket and put it in the holster download the hex file and away you go

pickit 2 very cheap on ebay plus do a lookup on google about what you want as it looks like you need to know the very basics on setting it up installing plus how to use the programmer.

I personally have this programmer Click Me (http://www.vellemanusa.com/us/enu/product/view/?id=522056#) I prefer to use a programmer with a true rs232 handshake
