I am planning on building a custom PC case for my 360 Modding/Flashing, and Jtagging PC. I currently just run the parts without a case on my workbench...it's to much work to open a cheap/flimsy PC case everytime I have to Mod a 360. I was wondering if you guys could point me to an extremely small form factor psu that outputs more then 250watts and has atleast two 12v rails. One being sata for hdds and one molex.
Thanks,
ModernTek

Ah crumbs... Hmm.. You could always look for a mini-ITX PSU. I think that's about as small as it gets.

Thanks for the info I didn't know they existed. I can't seem to find one that has two 12v rails.
Anyone know of a mini itx psu that has two 12v rails?
Really appreciate the help :hifive:

Pico ITX is the smallest. Also, you don't need two 12V rails if the one has enough amps. Just split it. Here's a 160W ATX style PicoITX power supply: http://www.mini-box.com/picoPSU-160-XT (http://www.mini-box.com/picoPSU-160-XT) and here's a 200W one http://www.mini-box.com/PW-200M-DC-DC-power-supply (http://www.mini-box.com/PW-200M-DC-DC-power-supply). Not sure if they fit your needs.

Thanks Kicks
I thought about doing that the only issue is that I have had problems in the past with connecting my maxumus xtractor pro to the same rail as my hdd. Whenever I turn the xtractor on my OS freezes but, if I turn it off the OS unfreezes (in seconds).
Any idea why this would happen? If I need to I'll just buy two PicoITX PSUs; one to run the PC and another to run the xtractor, leds, fans, and any other junk I want to add to the case. Sound like a plausible idea? Or a good one?

I think that might be because of the slight voltage change when powering the maximus, or...I'm not really sure. I never plug anything in before the hard drive on any rail, as in the HDD is always the first powered device (this really only applies to daisy chained molex connectors, though).
Two PSU's would probably be easier, yeah

Thanks Kicks I really appreciate the input.
I am going to go with a 200 watt psu for the PC and a 100 watt for all the extra junk.
Thanks again!
