Title: PSP Laptop: Sidekick style!
Post by: demonsonic1 on January 29, 2011, 06:01:39 PM
Ok, I am thinking of designing a PSP kind of like the Sidekick (if you don't know what that is look here http://www.productwiki.com/upload/images/motorola_sidekick_3.jpg (http://www.productwiki.com/upload/images/motorola_sidekick_3.jpg))
I want the public's opinion on how much it would be worth, how cool, etc., usual stuff.
I like the PSP Laptop here, https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=30747.0 (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=30747.0), but I want something more portable.

So, vote, leave comments, and offer  :help:.
Thanks!

EDIT: What color scheme do you think I should do when I'm finished? 'Cause of course I'm gonna paint it.

All I can say is goodluck.
You're going to need alot of money, time, and patience.
You also need to custom mold a shell for your new device as well. But I like the idea...

Technically, my 3rd. I first combined 2 of my broken PSP's to make one working one, then I made a charging dock for all my wireless controllers.

This.. Is going to be extremely hard to accomplish. I have a bit of advice for your project, the easiest way for you to figure out how a side kick works is to actually purchase a replacement shell. Hands on experience is invaluable when it comes to a project of this magnitude. Reading a description, or looking at a video or diagram will not compare to actually holding one. Plus you may be able to re-purpose the mechanics of the replacement shell for this project.

This seems like a very difficult mod. So be patient, work carefully, and ignore any negative comments that may be posted here. Do your best and enjoy your mod. I hope to see this develop further. Try posting a work log, and update it weekly if possible.

this will be an easy mod just 3 simple steps...
1. get in the car
2. go to the bank, get out $200
3. go to a game store and buy a psp go
Done.

This is a fairly old topic - please don't bump old topics.
