Title: Best Compact Camera
Post by: robin1989 on February 09, 2011, 05:42:25 PM: ok so im looking for a good compact camera that takes beautiful pics with a decent optical zoom. a bonus would be if it did hd video as well but thats noe to important as i have 1080p compact video cameras already - im mainly after a stills camera

this is so i dont have to take my £700+ of DSLR equipment round youth hostels etc when i travel usa over the summer.

also i just thought are there any compacts that geotag your photos

Post by: GhoSt on February 09, 2011, 07:42:22 PM: depenedig on how big you are willing to go, the canon g series are nice, I myself have a g11, but I hear their is a g12 now. But tbh the G12's advantages are only the 720p video and more iso selection.

My g11 takes dam good photo's.

my other alternative is wait and see what the pana TZ20 is like when it comes out in march and see how much the TZ10 etc drop

Thoughts?
