 Evoluce who are developing the Windows 7 software for Kinect have now announced another software 3D-Sensing Custom Software For Kinect which is supposed to take the Kinect experience on PC to a whole new level by offering a dedicated SDK for Kinect Software developers who can develop great applications for Kinect..

These are its core features

    * 3D virtual reality experience with full-body avatars
    * Real time interaction with virtual characters and objects
    * Touch-free user interfaces and onscreen control
    * Body analysis
    * Object and motion tracking
    * Head, Hand, Face, Body and Finger Tracking
    * Gesture and emotion recognition
    * API´s for Unity 3D (C#) and OGRE (C++) etc.

this will work with xp,vista,7, not sure if it will get a mac or linux

once i wake or ill post more on it.
