I was Thinking of buying a Rrod Xbox 360 Elite with Everything. For £25 of Ebay. Is it worth it. I meen I have never fixed a Xbox or opened one but I get the hang of it. It has three rings. Is it worth buying it, is it a Bargain? Is fixing the Xbox Guaranteed.

Guaranteed nope
worth yeah if you just want to mess with it if it dont work after clamping it
-
What do u mean?
-
well not every 3 red light can be fixed most people thing 3 red light = x clamp = fix not all the time
-
he means that it's entirely possible that the clamp kit won't fix your problem and if you do the x-clamp fix and it doesn't fix the RROD then at that point it's almost not worth it to spend the money to fix. $50 for the broken console + ~$10 for the X-clamp fix + $50 for the rework/reball puts you at $110 at least, more if your clamp fix costs more or the repair center charges more for the rework/reball... $110 for a repaired unit vs. $199 for a brand new one...

at 25 euro, or like 30$ I would buy it regardless. the case can be sold for 15, the fan for 5, the cables for 5 heat sinc for 5 etc.

I would say buy it just so you have something to mess around with and practice with. IF you do the xclamp "fix" it might work for about a week or two. Then after that it would need a reflow or reball. When i used to do reballs for people, i would charge $75 and i would charge $40 for a reflow and 12v fan mod. So if you dont have the equipment to get it to 100% working condition then its only gonna be good for practicing with and using it to find different voltage spots and maybe parts. Overall, i would say buy it.

matt is right even if its not fixable you could sell it in parts and make more money off of it

Oh Yeah gd point. But Seliing isnt that easy. If you think of it.
