Title: Asus K60IJ Backlit Keyboard Install Question.

Hello ladies & gentlemen of AcidMods! I am currently looking for some help with a virgin laptop. I currently have in my possession an Asus K60IJ that has the standard keyboard. This keyboard does not meet the needs of what I need it to do, so I want to install this:.


Backlit Asus K60IJ keyboard off eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-ASUS-K60-K60I-K60IJ-K60IL-K60IN-US-keyboard-backlit-/310278357010?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item483e080012)

The only concern I have is that it says it'll work with this laptop, without the functionality of the back light. I'd like to know if anybody has a creative solution to fix this problem, or if the information is simply inaccurate.

Surely if you just connect the power lines on the keyboard to one you find on the laptop Motherboard?

you could probably mod it but wouldnt know how or w/e without having the same laptop as you and that keyboard, more than likely to require a bit of soldering iron action tho.
