Title: looking for a hand held

Im looking for a handheld i soppose something like the gp2x so i can play homebrew apps my friend makes and also play mp3.

my problem is i dont kno wat one to go for ....
any suggestions i did have a psp 1000 but i hated doing the hole pandora battery thing...

any one? this is not for emulation just homebrew only since there seems to be so many handhelds on the market i dont wanna go wasting money on something thats  eh low tech or out of date......I would get a nokia n900 but dam the prices are so high

psp 1000 + photofast cr 5400 + cfw.

It honestly is the best.
