This is my ride - 48cc 2stroke DiamondBack. I've been riding motorized bikes for a few years now, built about 8 of them or so for people locally. 60 to the gallon, running 40:1 synthetic.

Thats so awesome.
I wish i had one because i'd rive everywhere haha
why are the pedals still attached?lol but thats still cool if you run out of gas.

Pedals = Street legal, no license, no insurance, no registration.
And it's compression start (push start/pedal start).
-
plus you need some where to rest your feet.

True. Something tells me lotus position through the frame wouldn't be a great idea.
But now something tells me I should try it... :boxed:

Thats AWEsoMe could you build one of those for me? :) ill pay you 200 bucks, because thats all i have at the moment lol.
-
I could if you were local - everything costs about 150-250 bucks for the motor and parts, and I usually charge 40 for labor getting it all installed.

is oklahoma close enough lol

Oklahoma is a long ride from Idaho. O_O
They're not super hard to install, it takes an afternoon to do it to a standard mountain bike. This summer I'm doing a WCC bicycle, but it's going to take quite a few weekends to get that one going, as it's got VERY non standard specs.

Maby you could teach me how to and i can just do it myself, where do you get the parts from?

This is a review section of a motored bicycle forum, so there's a lot of sellers.
I run Raw motors, (www.rawmotors.com), and they're your basic motor - but despite being basic, they're damn reliable if you treat em right.
There's a lot of newer models of motors out there, but there's a high dollar and there is a lot of issues with getting them tuned, and for that reason I don't refer anyone to anyone except Raw.
Aside from that, there's parts to replace off the stock motor, like replace all the alum. bolts with steel, and get a different sprocket mount (clamshell).
Lots of info there, but that's a great forum with a lot of info as well.
You can also jump in and ask for a rider local to Oklahoma and pay him to install for you.

i think my dad could do it for me bause hes really good with those kinda things, do you think this kit will be a good one, i dont want it to break or anything. http://motorbicycle.org/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=24

Two things - the first is, these aren't made in the US, they're made in China - not just the one you saw, but all of them. 210$ is WAY too much for just a chrome job, plus there's 30$ shipping. There's no manufacturer name, as well, 30 day limited warranty means if you put gas in it your warranty is void. Lastly, standard rule of thumb is that 50cc is the legal limit, anything higher and it's offroad only. Might vary with your state, but that's the general rule of thumb.
I'd say go with this.

Oklahoma Title Code
§47-1-104 (ctrl-F to find it in the document)
http://webserver1.lsb.state.ok.us/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.rtf
Looks like you guys are really lucky - your laws have been in effect since '85. Your limit is 149cc and 30mph, so get the 80cc here.
