Title: 3DS Battery life. To care or not to care?

    So with the 3DS having been out for a while in Japan a lot of people have done a lot of reviews on it.  One thing that seems to stand out is that the battery seems to suck.  Well that is when you compare it to the DS (you should never do that).  From what I can tell most people are having problems squeezing out more than 4.5 hours before it dies.  That is with the 3D OFF, the back light on SUPER LOW, and NO WIFI.  With everything on I'm reading 2 hours at best.

     Now with normal DS games we are looking the 5-8 hour range but that is last gen now so I don't think we should judge the 3ds on that.

     So here's the question Does the poor battery life really matter to you?  I know it really bothers me even though I am rarely that far from a plug.  the key here for me is that when I am away from a plug I tend to want my brightness up all the way as I am normally outside.

Honestly, it doesnt bother me at all.  i will be getting mine day one, and playing the CRAP out of it.  the only thing that bothers me is there is no red one in the USA yet :(

I think battery life is everything. I play my PSP slim using a phat battery because my slim battery is not holding a charge as long (about 3 hours not playing a UMD game) and the phat (6 hours using UMD games) gives me enough playtime to pass the time in school and on the long drives to and from it.

I think battery life is important, that is why I'm getting the NGP. Its supposed to have a battery life of 6-8 hours from what I hear.

i never heard that the NGP had that much battery life. and yes battery life should matter. The more a battery drains the more it has to be charged and the faster the battery wears out.

i charge my 3DS LESS than i charged my DSi if that means anything to you folks.
