Here is the reasoning for my voting...

I am putting this here so you can understand how some people think when it comes to these things.
I am a random type of person, Ill look at a focal point and go from there, if i dont find one then youre SOL...

I will back any comment that i make here, however i believe that everone did a really nice job. You need to remember that my comments are based on my personal opinion and of course people are going to disagree, or mention things that i didnt see or thought i saw but didnt... this is life, DEAL WITH IT!

To anyone that didnt finish, I FEEL FOR YOU ALL!!!

All people start off with 100 points

85730168 - XBOX360 - DEATHBOX 360

100

+ 18 - theme carried out into everything, even software

TOTAL POINTS:
115

- 2 - BLUE EVERYWHERE
+ 4 - Comet graphic..
- 2 - Heat removal?

* I have a strong feeling that this system will DIE... YLOD anyone?

TOTAL POINTS:
112

74037211-A - PSP - Vocaloid

100

+ 5 - Lots of design work gone into this psp
+ 2 - Theme carrying into software (could have found an actual theme that works for XMB)
+ 5 - Overall look
- 1 - Use of a vinyl printer (only because i dont have one)

TOTAL POINTS:
111

44883206-A - PSP - Camo/Green LED

100

+ 10 - using psp parts to make a mod
- 4 - use of lots of magnet wire (I dont like it, have seen issues with items that get lots of motion, useful if used in the right place though)
- 2 - used "Like a G6" in video
+ 7 - detail of video showing modified areas
+ 9 - LED's are hooked up to match random effect
- 3 - trim is not a shade of the camo that the case is (possibly due to hard to find color)
- 7 - didnt try to remove the thermaltake logo on the fan guard

TOTAL POINTS:
110

TOTAL POINTS:
97

44883206-B - NDS - SKIN / LED's

100

-15 used a skin (in a skilled mod-off competition)
+3 hooked up the LED's direct to battery and ensured that the switch wasn't protruding out of the case

TOTAL POINTS:
88

55937401 - XBOX360 - DeathF$@*

100

+ 5 - Keeping theme
+ 4 - Modded HDD Thingy
+ 8 - Airbrush Parts.
- 40 - I dont see the XBOX playing games, or running in the "Final Video" (I believe that this is a requirement)

TOTAL POINTS:
77

To all the people that completed multiple mods: If you spent the time on an individual mod, it would have brought you up in the list...

*** I grade PSP's different as i have done MANY of them.
*** I grade different on a per mod basis, the order in which i watch the mods may affect the way i grade them also.

EDIT* Fixed so that they are in order now.

thanks [HoP] i'm glad you think i will fall in the top 3 and i agree with allot of your statements cept the ylod one as this system runs cooler now then it did b4... after a 4 hour solid gaming the projector is still only between 25-30oC but i do understand why you took points for that and i never did clear that up in the vids or in my work log

Ha ... I feel like on AcidMod's got talent.

So I chose 77302794.
The whole adding of parts that were never meant to be used with the console is totally legit. You good have done with a better color scheme though. Blue couldn't go wrong but this blue is wrong I think. Other than that ... A+.

My second, third and fourth should be:
2. 44730173 (nice Led mod on the PS3 there. And I love the idea of measuring temperature. A must have)
3. 74037211 B  (Really detailed Kingdom theme. Love it.)
4. 85730168 (I just love mine water Chilled.)

Other than that, really truly nice job there. To all of you !

Hop, I disagree the use of a vinyl printer is bad because thats more money put into the mod which takes a bit more effort in the long run. Maybe the graphics are not hand crafted but they look clean and are still drawn up in some way. For me thats a plus.

I voted but not telling who i voted for. :D

wow this is heated but i'm with vrakts, 77302794 gets my vote but I would like to know one thing.... why did you pick the blue you did cause earlier in your work log you had like a midnight blue that was sexy this fluffy cloud thing is kinda weird but that fireball is NUTS man.  also your my kind of moder I LOVE DUAL FUNCTION!

FOOKz you blind....  "- 1 - Use of a vinyl printer (only because i dont have one)"

i only subtracted points cause i dont have one, i have an odd way of rating things, that is why i posted my ratings... people could get a laugh and see how "some" people think.

if we were to have a mod-off where you can use only non electric tools, that would be interesting...

I thought the whole point of a hidden poll was to keep your votes confidential :S
identities are to remain confidential, I don't feel bad for posting my voting scheme... and i believe that by understanding how i voted you will see how some people think.

Everyone in the mod-off did a super great job. Some people spent lots of money, some little. Some spent lots of time and made new things, some re-vamped things from the past. Everyone put forth TONS of effort in this and I feel that everyone deserves a round of applause.

To show my gratitude, I will give the people in 2nd and 3rd place something for free. It will be a real life item. I can ship it to an administrator if they don't want to give me an address to ship it to. (As long as your country allows the things that i have in mind to ship) I just need to see what i have and go from there. I guarantee that it will be useful for your modding experience.

This will be done after the voting is over obviously.

I honestly have not paid any attention to what people where building. I have no clue who built what. I tried to keep it that way. My vote was for the liquid cooled box.
My rating were based off of a couple things.
1 degree of difficulty. and the amount of planning that had to go into a mod.
2 function vs form. I like function before form personally. Does the mod add anything to the machine, then I look at the ascetics .
3 over all theme.
4 creativity. Did you do something different.
Truthfully I would have voted for the blue Ps3 if 1 the av cable was internalized. 2 A different paint scheme. It kinda reminded me of this denali thats around here. Its all pimped out beautiful truck, but its that same blue and it makes it look like a toy truck or something.
Regardless of who wins you all did an awesome job. The effort shows in every ones mod.

1 degree of difficulty
2 function
3 over all theme
4 creativity

I agree with this, though some of the case mods were pretty intense and a some of the air brushing was amazing even if stencils were used.  I def had a hard time between my top 3 choices and I wish I could have voted for top 3.

Hats off to everyone who participated, they were all done very well cheers

different people have different access to the site, depending if you are B&M / Art / BST / Club AM / Mod / Global Mod / R&D / Admin / Owner

also people can have special permissions on a per user basis...

ahaha, its quite easy to spot my mods. clean, simple and OEM looks...
that was my 1st time doing something like that on a psp. there was actually 2 layers of basecoat, 1st was a solid black to prevent the leds light to bleed out. 2nd was white. *yeah i now i should make the black slightly more thicker. i didn't know that green was too bright lol

that painting, didn't need any skills at all. hail to the vinyl cutter lol, but because im doing it on a small piece, using a vinyl is the only way to make the paintwork clean.

yours however did a great job on using the skulls stencils.

my friend, i dont think im the best, when it comes to modding we all have different approach and style. what differentiate between peoples are not the tools they are using, but the ideas.

yours came out great. i like the NDS mods.

I must know who was working on this xbox (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,38635.0.html). They never completed the mod off, but they had added ram and heat sinks. I want to know how they painted the skulls. I'll repaint my Harley this summer if I get that technique down.
