Comes in handy. Also theres more leds hooked up for the rumble motors.

And yeah get clear analogs from ebay or google around. There hard to find. They will be on ebay one day then off another

When I do the mold for my mp3 controller Ill make nubs and buttons. Thanks for the info. only problem with the buttons is I can just make a mold of one button and reuse for the rest, each one is different. Ill let you know when they are ready. I'm sure there will be a thread on the clear button mold making.

No ps2 molds ready. I don't think I have any ps2 controllers around either.

note to self: I should have molded the PS3 controller before I started building the MP3 controller.
So I will be doing a clear PS3 controller mold but I don't know when. Since my spare controller is what I'm using for the MP3 controller and has already been modified , I can't use that one to make a mold from. If someone has a controller shell I can borrow until the mold is made , that would be a big help. The mold takes a couple days to dry completely so I don't want to take my main controller out of commission for that long.
he who comes up w a shell gets free buttons and shell. Pm me if you can help.

Post by: 1TONpete on May 08, 2011, 07:24:35 PM: updating all my projects. this one included. Had couple problems with the molds the first batch. Remaking molds. I rushed it to much. I should know better and slow down when making stuff like this. Give me some time, I should have new molds done by the end of the week. Funny thing is I was worried about the r2/l2 mold but that one came out fine.

these beta's are on par with my quality, I will be using the beta buttons on the sharpshooter. public buttons will be ready next week. as well as public thumb sticks. Dpads are available now.
notes :
1 vibrator necessary.
2 mass production is very difficult atm due to different pour ratios. thinner parts need more hardener. To much hardener in larger parts makes so bubbles get stuck. So high detail thin parts like the l2/r2 need to be pour by themselves . analog bottoms are also on this pour.
3 analog bottoms are being extraordinarily difficult. I've made the mistake of pouring the same ratio as buttons twice now. part to soft and not complete. Air keeps getting trapped in the round part. This part is so thin, that if any air bubbles get stuck in there the part is unusable.
mass production molds are started for ps3 buttons and dpad. triggers will not be mass produced and will be special order only.

The bottoms of the analogs are giving me trouble. The weather has been bad and I lost a friend in a motor cycle accident the other day so I have not been working. I will post results soon. turn the leds on/off I been looking all over the place, cause its not a normal tactical button right.
Do you have a tutorial of how to do the drop shot? Or is it in a pic chip mod?
