I decide to make a new topic about this one,
After doing the lm386 led mod my psp turns on but it wont boot, as read on older topics seems like a brick but can you possibly brick your psp by doing hardmod?
Anyway... Can anyone help me with this one i just want to resurrect it for my brother.
Experts i really need some help.
Thanks guys.

when you say it doesnt boot, what exactly happens from when you switch it on?
-
Evrything else is on power led and trigger leds are on but the screen is just black no boot sound no sony logo just black, can that be an indication of a brick?
-
does it turn off after a while? like 30 seconds? if so than its most likely a brick, try turning on while holding the right trigger. if it boots into recovery mode then its a semi-brick other than that i have no idea. also check and see if the network light lights up a tiny bit, mines does that but i havent been able to fix it.

No it doesnt it just stays on, i tried turning it off it doest work it only turned off when i remove the battery.
What is happening to my psp?

you shorted the crap of it... your sound fuse is blown and your backlight fuse is blown. the psp is fine, you just aren't getting any audio or video. well you can't see the video.. bridge those two fuses, if that doesn't work, then this is a strange problem indeed. and you can't brick your psp by installing an lm386... if you manage to pull that off i'm pretty sure it won't be fixable.
-
humm... i dont think hes blown the fuses as you say. if he had then he would have been able to switch it off normally. zephyr do you have a magic memory stick and pandoras battery? or do you have another psp you could borrow to make them?
-
I didn't see that....

If it is that the fuses are blown, make sure that you find the short(s) before you bridge the fuses or you WILL damage your PSP.

try taking the mods off

I am going to remove everything and try to pandorize it first bfore bridging the fuse...
what a pain!
Thanks guys for the help i'll report back for the results thanks again!

Hey guys good news its working properly now!!!
The problem came from the solder blob i used to connect to 5v source its touching the copper area and it cause somewhat a short on the mobo.
Got it fixed but i settled on the direct contact led mod, as long as its working its ok for me.
Thanks for the help guys!!!!
