Title: xbox issues
Post by: Modded Matt on May 10, 2011, 03:53:32 PM
ok, so I got an xbox that seems to check out fine, no red rings, but no picture either. The xbox recognizes that the av cable is plugged in and it recognizes when the plug is removed. but I get nothing coming through neither picture nor sound. I an about to junk it, but was checking to see if anyone has had the same issues.

maybe the gpu, needs to be reflowed or  try another av cable or may need to be reset, does it have a hdmi port? settings could be set for something else but usually it detects what evers plug in to it. not like the ps3 where you have to change it... google no video no sound there are videos on there how to fix the problem.. this is a good one never seen this happen.

flip the switch on the side of the cables. its on the plastic piece that connects to the 360.

what they all said, flip the switch, if you're using the standard component cables to connect and it's set on HD but the box is set for SD this will happen sometimes, for some reason the box doesn't automatically adjust sometimes...

my first 360 did exactly this.... i did a x-clamp fix on it and it worked for a week or 2 longer, then the picture went again.... tried the x-clamp fix again... it worked again then got a E74... so i drop kicked it and stripped it for spare's upon buying a new 360.....

i imagine a proper re-flow would sort the problem.... as a dodgy x-clamp overheat fix worked for a short while.....
