So I have my LEDs all wired up and did the resistor calculation but it was total failure. the LEDs worked for about a minute then the solder melted off the resistor.
11 white LEDs on a sickmods board.

15 Ohm resistor

5v supply.
Help!

Ok first of all sounds to me that your drawing alot of amprage to melt the solder off the resistor, or not a heavy enough wire, being that your only using 5volts could be the problem also...11 leds that are probably around 2.3 volts for each one tells me thats the problem..
(someone correct me if I am wrong).
heres a link for led and resistor caculator:
http://metku.net/index.html?sect=view&n=1&path=mods/ledcalc/index_eng#parallel
I would use 12volts and resist it down to what is needed, using this caculator also I would draw the power from the underside of the board where the power comes in I know I or someone else has posted this where to draw power from the mobo on AM site.... double check things and make sure that you have no shorts and double check the resistors... also I would check with maybe a 9volt batter to make sure everything works before wirring it to the motherboard...can use the same resistor for the 12volts just check it with the 9volt battery to make sure your leds all work they wont be as bright with 9volts as 12... hope this helps
If I forgot something someone please correct me if i made a mistake.

it would be easier for us to help if you tell us,
- The current and voltage ratings of the leds
and
-how you have them wired (all leds in parallel with their own/shared resistor or all leds in series, etc)
