Post by: spurgurgle on June 01, 2011, 03:40:02 PM
Hi guys,

well as some of you guys no, im back out in france working on this medieval castle restoration.... and dont have my modding bench....

sooooooooooooo i needed a new hobby to help pass some of my plentiful free time.. only doing 25 volunteer hours a week on the chateau in exchange for bed and board... and having my laptop to hand... it stated out as blogging... then moved onto modding my blog with gadgets and widgets (basic html/css editing) has no advanced onto full webdesign

I've been and bought  click to find out (http://spurgurgle.com) as a practise domain for me to upload my practise designs and templates too.

I havent put a site up on it yet.... just a "hello world" page......

but as i practise and learn more i'll be making a site to run as a home/splash page on the domain...

anywho. im just wondering if anyone knows of any good tutorials on making html pages and css style sheets. i've searched around and found a few but am always in need of more...

at the moment im messing around with dreamweaver 8 which is a great tool for producing website's
but i ultimately want to learn the code and to be able to write it...

now im only just starting at this... soo it may be a while till i have a half decent site up on my domain.. but we'll see..

I started to learn html and css at quackit.com but there is better tutorials if you google up W3C Schools, its fun to copy and paste to test and get ideas to build.
