Title: Baddest Jtag Finished!!
Post by: crazy-modder on July 05, 2011, 07:53:37 PM: Well heres a little sneak peak of what ive been working on for that past week and a half. Its still not quite done. I gotta do alot more soldering and order some more tubing cause i was dumb and didnt order enough.

Heres the finished product, well just about finished. I ran out of green tubing so im waiting on the rest to get here along with more blue anti kink. I was gonna put the hard drive inside but i ran out of room lol. So i had to just mount it on top. The two switches on top are used to turn on the leds. One is for blue leds and the other is for green leds. There is a total of 46 3mm and 5mm leds in this beast along with 2 blue cathodes. This thing was extremely difficult to make.....almost gave up a few times. I had it all put together and i thought i forgot to plug the sata into the dvd drive, so i took it apart to plug it in and realized it was plugged in!! i was like OMFG WTF!!!!!!! lol

One question why did you have to hard wire the hard drive in, I could see if you had to hard wire for the power but why the sata cable?

EDIT: also how or where did you learn that from hard wiring to the motherboard?

Post by: crazy-modder on July 06, 2011, 03:02:18 PM: No, i had to make it internal cause the pump is mounted where the hard drive originally goes and the watercooling lines run over where the hard drive goes. So space is super limited.

EDIT: I have to tease you a little bit, this thing is so cool, just about the best looking mod I have ever seen, and one of the best looking paint jobs for a xbox 360.

I think as the DVD drive is already inside the case, windows cut on it don't need to be sealed.

If you seen some of the DVD drives I have repaired, you wonder how they even worked at all the last one I had in my elite looked like a cat was Mauled by the dvd drive spindle. when I opened the drive there was fur spun all arount the inside of the case about the size of the game cd, was nasty and hairy.

the dvd drive looks cool that you can see it spinning up , but after working on such nasty consoles I think its best to keep them sealed up.

I dont play games...lol I just mod and repair them... just cant believe how filthy people let there systems get.
