This will be the process of me building a ps3 controller into a Snes controller. i will be using the ps3 original controller, and the original snes controller board(i will remove the shift register).
one problem is that i will not add the analog sticks, nor the R3,R2,L3,L2. i figured out that if you take off the analog sicks (magnetic sensor type), the analog sicks do not know the center point. But i figured out that if you solder together both pins (signals) then it knows exactly were the center is so it will not go crazy. So if you guys are going to remove the analog sicks completely then try to use a 4 pin sick. Because if i had to use the traditional 3 pin pot, i would of had to mess with resistors.
the next problem is that i need to add the PS button. But i dont know exacly what to use, i was planing to use the original ps button from the ps3, or a ipod touch home button ( or perhaps a custom button). on the top side i will add the leds, and i will add a usb-mini to were the cord hope is at.

I recommend using the left analog stick were the dpad was. A lot of the simpler ps3 games use this only instead of dpad, and all the emus can use the analog stick for dpad , so you will be able to get more use out of your controller.

well i butchered the analog sticks already. so i dont think that its possible. lol, well this will prob be just for showing off lol. i will upload the pic were i have the brissel for the dremel attachment. This one is the biggest help, i was able to take the carbon off the traces were its suppose to connect with the daughter board. and its now 100% easier to solder to it :)
im not qiute sure how to add multiple photos with the 5mb limit here. So if you know how can you instruct me?(each photo is like 3.8 so i hit the limit with one photo)

Do you know about the resistors when using no daughterboard?

yes i know. but ive bin searching and i haven't had a concrete answer onto the two resisters value. that makes scene, i guess i will have to make a account somewhere.. im trying to use photo shop right now to shrink.

6.8k to 10k resistors. I use 10k because I have a bunch all ready.

thanks alot! 10k i have alot of those! so u fount it to be stable right? well good. also do i need any dummy load between ... lests say comm2 and triangle? or can it be a open contact?

That will be a good mod but I am hoping to top all even though I am only using a 360 controller now .I dont have a PS3 system to test it on a PS3 so hopefully by the october mod off I can :) good luck make sure you get your pics up and posted in time

lol im pretty sure you might top me off lol. well you can always test a ps3 controller in the computer. on macs you can even sync a ps3 controller same like a ps3 xD.

Do i need anytype of softwear for the PS3 to use on my computer of will it reconize it with a usb cable? also I cant test the rapid fire though on computer unless i have the game right?

i actualy dont know if the ps3 RF will work on the computer. for ps yes you do need the driver so it works though usb. (no blueooth for windows)

reason is that the eeprom from a genuine ps3 has to connect to usb to get the mac address and therefore it pairs itself for wireless. on the mac, ther blueooth MAC address is shared tough the devices connected.
but whats funny is that for a mac, ps3 works out of the box, for windows the 360 controller works out of the box. lol
