Title: XboX 360 E75, error please help!
Post by: Luigus on July 29, 2011, 06:20:32 AM
hi guys!

Today my one of my friend gave me his broken xbox 360 Pro at school. It has HDMI port

he told me the DVD drive is broken, and he Dad? took it apart and like lost some of the parts.
The fans is missing aswell as the wind tunnel thingy, and the underside cover for the DVD drive...

So at home i plugged it in one red light flashed, and on the tv it said e75 error...
now ife read about this errors and want to know if i should take a shot at it to fix it, or just rip it apart for repair parts...

The DVD drive is a Phillips & Lite-on drive, the tray wont open when i press the eject button, but the laser goes on and it makes noise..

ife checked if its the av cable, and it wasnt that(tried with my working xbox's cable) and i still get the error with a HDMI cable..

what would i have to buy/do to fix this problem?

just reflow it with a heat gun. just like any other reflow. all you do is do like me and buy a cheap heat gun they work. and keep it about 6 inches away from the place you want to reflow and move it in circles around it. if it is plastic parts, capacitors around it. insulate them good. ;)
