Title: R button weirdness

I recently took apart my psp to try to clean the umd drive. After putting it back together and starting it up I noticed that for any thing requiring the R button it acts like it is permanently pushed down even though it's not. I have it open in front of me right now and have cleaned the little input thing and even lifted it and it still does this. Do I have to replace the whole button input sensor or is it something fixable?

If it stuck down or can you pull it up (loose)

you did put it in the hole right and put the rubber in right as well?
