Post by: TwisTtheTwiTcH on October 24, 2011, 04:17:23 PM
Apple upgraded the thirteen, fifteen, seventeen inch Mac Book Pro models over this past weekend. Although users willing to spend the extra money can still customize their purchase with up to eight gigabytes of RAM, and larger solid-state or conventional hard drives.

The $2,500 seventeen inch model had a 2.2GHz processor, but has been bumped up to a 2.4GHz i7 processor. It’s also received a video upgrade from the Radeon HD 6750M up to AMD's Radeon HD 6770M card with 1GB of RAM.

Next in the Mac Book Pro line up is the 15 inch model which sells for a retail of $1,800 comes running an i7 processor as well at 2.2GHz a step up from the original 2GHz. The 15 inch model also received a video upgrade and now sports AMD's Radeon HD 6750M card with 512MB of RAM, where as its predecessor came with the AMD Radeon HD 6490M card with only 256MB of RAM.

Lastly is the entry level model, the thirteen inch. The predecessor had a 2.3GHz i5 processor from Intel. The new line sports a 2.4GHz processor, although for a few hundred dollars buyers can upgrade to a 2.8GHz i7.
