Title: Stuck start button, even disconnected the assembly
Post by: RastaToby on November 23, 2011, 09:40:27 AM
Ok so my problem is that the start button is stuck, its simply always on (pressed). I thought this was the issue of the button assembly, so i tried bending the button but it didn't help so i disconnected the entire home select start button assembly out, but it is still stuck, i restarted the psp to no avail, i just don't get it.
Please someone enlighten me what could be causing this problem???

People recommend replacing it with a new one

well you said yyou removed the home bar so its not the home bar thats glitching out.

Could be a firmware issue, or could be the connector for  the home bar.

most likely its the connector for the home bar.

You can try putting a piece of folded paper on top of the connector and then put the screen back ontop of the connector and the piece of paper.

Solved, the problem was with the connector on the other side, probably just dust or some sh*t like that. Rubbed it with an eraser, cleaned the female part with some compressed air and everything seems to be working properly now :) (and i hope it stays that way)
