Yeh that's the problem.. don't know when the PSP is charging unless it's on.

no in the picture the psp is off and charging
-
Mm.. I guess it could work.
-
could you make a tut for people who don"t know how to do this??
-
Very nice , It's a shame that US doesn't have actual BLUE PSP's, that would be bad ass.
-
cyber could you bridge one of the resistors so that when you were charging it got brighter?

yeah but test fist by using a screwdriver
-
hey cyber, i did this but the led doesn't work when charging!
i want to use the same led... can i just connect the led to the charging part... or do i have to use a seperate led! i have the original poweboard and i'm not sure!
i was just going to run some solder from the charging part of the circuit board to the led... is that okay?

what I did was path both power on and carging circut to the led
-
okay thanks... it works fine... :whoosh:
-
okay... i'm stupid and need help again!
so i'm using the the blue led for the start!
but it's lighting really really dim! not bright at all and can't see throught the faceplate!
so i bridged the resitor and it's still dim! the two triggers and the two back leds work abesolutely fine!
any idea what i should do!

right above the led is a dots touch somthing metel from that to the neg on the led
-
okay i soldered the negative lead from the led to the dots and the thing stays on all the time, even when off!

damn ok undo that
-
it's kind of funny cyber! when i choose different spots on the powerboard and solder it to the negative on the led the triggers and back leds get brighter! and the start/on led get's brighter! but when i turn it off the start/on led tuns off! and the triggers stay on!
when i tried the dots everything just stayed on! maybe i should do it and just make like a little switch on the side! not like it eats a lot of battery but just having the lights on makes me feel uncomfortable!

you'd probably come up with something better??
one question though! what are the specs of the resistors going to that led? thanks!
