Title: Participants Identities
Post by: Modded Matt on January 05, 2012, 06:59:04 AM
I found it exciting to not know who's mod was who's last year.

any thoughts?

good point , yet its also good to know who does what.. I mean in the Stand out Competition everyone got to show what they were doing what they were going to possibly do..  yet is cool to see what the end results where and who had modded in the last mod off

hard decission

I think that the the same format as last time is best but, that we must be very strict on keeping everyones identities as secret as possible as many people here will vote for the people not for the quality of the mods.

If we had impartial judges instead of public voting then I wouldn't mind not having anonymity, say perhaps the admins?

with regards to people bieng recognised for there mods if it was anon like last time then we would reatribute there mod off account to there normal account after the mod off was over

Definitely needs to be anonymous one way or another... people tend to vote for their favorite PERSON and not by the Mod.

Rodent - you can gloat about your mod when the competition is over.

I don't really think it's going to have much of an effect whether they're anonymous or not. People are still going to vote for their friends if that is how they plan on going about their voting anyways. All the person has to do is let their friends know of their secret ID # and boom, free votes. I think just letting the people have their names out there would just be best so that way some kids that aren't as well known can get get known. In the end it's all up to the people hosting the contest.

Like me bahahaha!!

anyways... back on topic. It should be anonymous because who does it hurt? Nobody. If a competitor tells the wrong person to vote for them, the voter for sure can tell staff to disqualify the competitor. Yeah very true people brag to their friends and like what Monk3y and Tracey said there's no stopping it.

i thought the anonymity was pretty cool, and isnt everyone revealed at the end anyways? so then even the newer guys could still get some credit.

out of curiosity, whats the new mod off gonna be? (console, controller, etc.)
sorry, ive been living under a rock.. :dntknw:

I wasn't directing my comment AT you, it was just a response to your comment about people wanting to be recognized for their efforts. They can and will be once it's over. Not to mention you know darn well you'r one of the ones who'd be voted for based on popularity lol

Keep it anonymous and keep your damn mouths shut!

I like not knowing who did the mod. Kinda makes me wonder who did it. Altho, I think after a while of being around here we'll be able to tell who's doing what. I know my entry will be a classic "Pete" mod , So even if it is anon, people will still know. But I still like the idea of anonymity.

in the last mod off, i found the anonymous accounts to be a bit of a hassle. the majority of people knew who entrants were, just by the photos they took and how they type.

Keep it anonymous.
can we leave the country off the identity card this time, that pretty much gives me away.
