ill need to get pictures but i changed the red and green smd leds on the ps3 phat system.
i changed the red one which would usually be on when the ps3 is off the a purple/pink color
and now when you turn the ps3 on instead of a green light its white.
it was pretty simple if you know how to do smd swaps but not for a new modder!
ill post pictures up for people who want to do it. ive searched the web hard and to my knowledge im the only one to have done this mod. give props to yo boy sinrockets if you do this show loooove, add me on psn.
if i remember right the right side of the polarity is positive and the left "towards the power supply" is the negative on theres two leds the back led is the off one, the one towards the front is the always on led.
ATTEMPT at own risk ill get pictures like i said asap. Happy modding peoples!!

I would love to see this, i had plans of doing an led swap on mine but I wasn't sure of the color combo I wanted yet. But also keep in mind there are many versions of ps3 boards so a true tute would be board specific. But I have been working on pinout pics for all fat versions so I will add this to the to do list.

Yeah its hard to decide on colors but worth it once you see it finished, i will get pics asap just need to find a better camera one i have dosent show the colors to well.
