If i was you, id push the ribbon cable, the thing that goes into the connector, into the plug. And put everything together and check if it works. If it doesn't try again, like use some glue to hold it in place. it happened to my psp, and i'm still using mine today, and its fine

correct me if im wrong but those clips are used to create pressure so the ribbons can make contact with the connector ?
ive tried that before on a ds lite i broke the little brown clip off and i tried to hot glue worked fine then gave out  :dntknw:
try gluing it

As far as I can see you have 3 options:

1: try insert the cable in and tape it down and just hope that a connection is made and that there is enough friction to keep the ribbon held in.

2: replace the connectors, might be tough to find the exact zif connectors.

3: hardwire the cables to the sockets. If you are able to solder .5mm pitch with 30awg and make dirrect connections from the mother board to the cables.

2 & 3 require some intermediate to advanced soldering skills.
Oh right and the 4th, get a new mobo.

Did you try ust plugging it in without any thing? pretty much all of my mobos are missing clips and they seem to work fine, i would give it a try instead of spending money on it, if you decide to buy one anyways, would you likee to donate the old one to me :)  :beg:
