Title: Spiderman/venom xbox worklog *FINISHED*
Post by: crazy-modder on September 04, 2012, 03:57:14 PM
So i got a request for a custom xbox for daily rentals and he wants a spiderman themed xbox. He wants me to install a coolrunner and a demon with tx fusion. This is just the beginning of this worklog. I will also make a quick tutorial on how to install the demon when it gets here.

Here is a pic of my first design.....i was not a 100000% happy with it
(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi46.tinypic.com%2Fx5cyv7.jpg&hash=464075fb5bf731449bd6113e568d522275933f46)

Here is the new cut, one of the most time consuming cuts ive done besides the pow case. I still got a ton of work to do on it, this is just a pic of right after i cut it.

Heres a little update on this beast, finished sanding, painting and clear coating. I use a satin black base coat with a very light metallic silver second coat. Then use some very high quality automotive clear coat. The sanding wasnt as bad as i thought it was gonna be cause my lines were pretty straight to begin with. I also have the rev c coolrunner installed and the demon installed. I will be flashing the stock nand back to the xbox and programming the demon tomorrow with tx fusion. I said i would make a tutorial but theres already a tutorial in j runner lol....I will post some tx fusion info though because that seems to be lacking on the net.

Very cool crazy... Thats alot of work, now time for sanding, which can be just as much if not more time consuming.

I do use a little sanding drum for it but with cuts like this, you have to use a file and do 99% of the sanding by hand

"BADASS!!!" you better charge him alot, that this is one of a kind and done by you Crazy-Modder your work and labor alone is worth alot.  this just goes to show how much time and effort went in to this console... and not even close to being done.   Modding takes time , just like Machining... you dont just snap your fingers and its done... keep up the awesome work .

The beast is finished and Daily rentals should be very happy. The demon mod works amazingly and everything works great. Ive never made a cut that takes up the entire top of the case, There is hardly anything left of it lol. I installed 3 12" led strips and red rol mod.

Did you paint with spray or brush?
What kind of clear coat are you using?

Looks amazing

I use my spray guns to paint using automotive paint. I used a black base coat with a light metallic flake top coat. Then cleared with automotive clear coat
