At long last the day has come, to finally hear some news from Sony about the PlayStation. Yesterday Sony's official PlayStation Blog added a simple headline “See the Future”, which included a very mysterious video.

The video is titled “#PlayStation2013.” There post also included a link to a page to sign up to “be the first to know.” (https://us.playstation.com/meeting2013/)
Related is a date, February 20, 6:00 p.m. EST a date that we may never forget.
The Playstation 4 or the code-name the "Orbis", could very well be announced on that day, as well it could be something completely different. We haven't heard as much information with Microsoft. But to me it looks as if, Sony is the first to strike in this battle. First come first serve, right? Anyway As for me I am very excited to see what there is to come with the next gen consoles. What do you think?

sony have kept this very secret in away only sony and the manufacturers know what it is. i have been digging for 2 weeks now and all i find a rumors that no one would believe.
all i can say is if it was a ps4 it would have been on ces with the rest of the stuff

could be knowing sony, sonys one that don't like leaks of there products but would not mind a ps4 but could be a ps tablet or just a new psp style item again

not likely, its most likely a new playstation phone or tablet similar to microsofts smart glass. which is very cool by the way...
the Sony CEO has recently stated they will not release their next system until after Microsoft releases theirs. So dont get your hopes up.

Dang well Matt my hopes are up and they just came crashing down just knowing that. :/ but I'm also happy if it will be a new phone. The old play station phone didn't sell much or did it?

I dont think so, I never saw one, I think NEOVALOR had one but thats all I know about. I believe they were carrier locked.

I got a xperia play and it does a lot. It runs my emus on it perfect. There is software you can download to enable using your controls in many cool ways. Its andriod but with a controller built in.
On this subject about Tablets and phones , I would love to see a device like I built but w touch screen. A tablet / controller.

This event will more than likely be pertaining to the PlayStation Orbis in one or another. Perhaps not a direct announcement, since Sony put out a statement that they would like Microsoft to be first in unveiling the next generation of consoles- As far as I know, Microsoft does not have any scheduled press-events regarding the Durango.
Since I often contradict myself on a daily basis, another thing to consider is that Sony has a history of over-hyping a lot of announcements and events; one in particular I can think of is when they announced "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale," (might I add it was a huge failure) they released a statement to the effect of, "something exciting is on the way!" which in return, caused a lot of rumors to speculate that it was The Last Guardian. Of course, I would love if this event announced an official release date for the game...
Also, I don't think it would be a good move on Sony, or Microsoft to showcase a next-gen console at CES. I'm actually surprised Valve's Steam Box prototype was unveiled during the show. It would make much more sense if they displayed this during E3 as opposed to CES. Then again, having a public press conference specifically dedicated to this, like they're doing, is even better.

ok as not update ill put it in.
a friend gave me a link the new xbox and ps will be online 24/7 to even use the console will not have a option to play older games and will not let you play used games (sorry cod fanboys).
the ps will be noticed in one of sony's big events (which one i don't know). but as stated will not be before the new xbox (not 720 sorry people)
