Title: Will CG2 Joysticks work on a CG1 board?

My left joystick sticks, it doesn't go back to center, it stays slightly upward, making my character move on COD and mess up in other games, i was wondering if i took one off the board on a broken CG2 if it would work on the CG1

I've used original xbox and ps2 controllers in cg/cg2 boards with no problem when I've had sticks go bad. Most of the new generic ones you find have a defect or fault like I bought some from ebay and another site which wouldn't actually start moving until you moved it a little further past center about an 1/8in which had their potentiometer labeled 3810 which I have tried to avoid since. but they are totally interchangeable. too bad ps3 ones aren't as easy since they have that 4th leg.
