Hey all.Just looking for some advice really.i like all the controller mods you all do and i was wondering do you all use PIC Programmer at some point for mods mods? If so is it worth investing in? Thanks

This is the pickit I use. Its by far the greatest investment I've made! Easy to use and supports a wide variety of different chips.

I see the programmer u are looking @ supports 12f683 chips which are the most widely used opensourse codes in here but I'm not sure if its compatible/updatible to 12f1822 chips. The 12f1822 chips are used for the XB1 opensourse rapid fire code made by Sethmods.

I Dont know enough about this programmer to rule this out but I can tell for a fact if u can find the same model I'm using it will support the 12f1822 chip and a vast amount of other chips!

I'm sure some other members here can better aid u in purchasing a pic programmer. The one your looking @ is a great price and will work with almost every opensourse code in here but I'm not sure its compatible with 12f1822 for XB1 codes. Hopefully another member can confirm this. I'd hate to see you sell yourself short.

Thank you WHITE 4ND N3RDY! I have contacted the seller to see if it is compatible so fingers crossed it will be.If not may have to order one from the us the same as yours as i cant really seem to find a pickit 2 here it the uk.
I never really did get into the whole custom controllers as i always stuck to case's but im looking forward to trying something new.

I contacted the seller with regards to the pic programmer and unfortunaitly it doesnt support the 12f1822 chips so going to have to find one that will.did the diagram you supply Rodent will that program 12f1822 chips?

I would recommend you Pickit 2. I bought it some months ago and It was the best selection
