Title: DS4 CUH-ZCT2E [Fake] - Button-Mapping wrong
Post by: Baldur on September 19, 2020, 01:43:24 PM
Hello there,

i've registered to this board, because i've some strange issue with a fake one of DS4-Controller.
As u can read above, something with button mapping isn't right.
I usually use Mortal Kombat Training Area to test repaired or damaged controller to figure out, what could be wrong.

After rebuild of a disassembled controller i figured out, that ifi press the L1-button, R1 is the respond. By pressing R1 both buttons are shown as pressed. (L1+R1)

I thought, it could be an issue of the foil installed, but another didn't brought any changes.
i guess, there is something wrong with the PCB and there i've devided some solderpoints. All where connected to the 3-pins of the analogue sticks.
3 bridges i've devided at all.

My intention was to put a foil between the original and the PCB as SCUF did, to install "new" triggers to R1 + L1 for a correct function. or do some soldering with triggers connecting at R1 / L1 and 3.2V on the PCB. But i don't really know if this will be helpful.

I appreciate some help with this :)
I'll upload pics of my curious doing asap.

with regards,
Baldur

All 3 of the spots you have shown were fine soldered together. Those are just the Stick solder joints and then the TP spot for that solder joint, so they are already connected on the board.

Never seen one of those in person before. Have any pics of the top? and whatever they are using for the button board?
