Title: JDM - 011 - DOES NOT WORK BLUETOOTH and wireless
Post by: Ferdnunez on April 10, 2021, 09:19:53 PM
Good night.

I have a PS4 Joyticks version JDM-011 and it does not work wirelessly.

The connection of the Joystick to USB works correctly, the PC detects it and works.

On the FLEX and JDS011, they are new.

When I connect the Joystick via USB cable it works but when I disconnect it, it automatically turns off.

The fault may be in the PMU or in the CPU.

I'm from Argentina, sorry for my English.

This should happen IME if the battery is empty, which is expected if the charging doesn't work.

Yeah sounds like the power management (PMIC) doesn't work how it should, or something thats feeding it.

No idea whats going on with the BT though.

The battery is working properly.

And on the battery pins there is voltage, but it does not work wirelessly. when I unplug the USB it turns off automatically.

How can I test if good voltage reaches the PMU?

it could be daring that if you change the chip that regulates the power supply it could fix, the chip usually costs about 3-5 dollars, sometimes even 12 dollars, depending on where you buy it, but it could also be that there is a short between the caps and to find out, either desolder them 1 to 1 and test them or measure them by keeping the board powered and checking with alcohol or ice spray for electronic boards.

There is 5 test points around it, measure against ground.
