Title: Soldering joints ripped off
Post by: WalidSp on June 07, 2021, 05:16:44 PM
Hello,

I tried to change a joystick and some of the solder joints got ripped off. I am not sure where to use my jumper on this one.. please help.

(The Y Axis is moving on its own)

The one to the left is what i am wondering what to do with.

Install a jumper wire from that middle Y-axis pin to TP63.

The LSC connection can be left as is if it still works, and it should as the other one still looks connected there.

Same for the X-axis connections, if it works then just leave it alone for now.

Thanks alot! that worked fine. Please i've got a second one now, with three Y axis pins ripped and it's missing solder in TP63 also. is there a solution to that?

Top Y pin is Ground, bottom one is the AN+, can just solder that one over to the X-axis left pin.

For the LSY connection you'll have to  either solder to the via right there at TP63, down/left of where TP63 was, or attach that to pin 53 of the SOC board there.
