Title: calibrate outer bounds after stick replacement?
Post by: Dockie on August 01, 2021, 03:45:19 AM
Sorry for the rubbish title, but i didn't know how to word this issue

essentially after a stick replacement, diagonal movement maps right up to 100/100 on the x/y axis' whereas an untouched stick will map a curve crossing over at roughly 70/70

Left stick replaced, Right stick original

The main problem I've found arises in fps games, the movement stick isn't much of an issue with this happening, but when looking around, the diagonals get exaggerated and become 'sticky' and less fluid. Is there any known way to correct this?

you would have had to measure the old sensor and replace it with one that is closest to the value, and then eventually calibrate it
