Title: Has anyone tried using this kit made for a 1708 on a 1797?
Post by: fernas001 on February 21, 2023, 04:20:28 PM
Greetings!  I would like to know if anyone has already tried to apply the 1708 extremerate (clicky) kit to a 1797 (elite series 2)

KIT info: https://extremerate.com/products/clicky-hair-trigger-kit-for-xbox-one-x-s-controller-lt-rt-shoulder-buttons-custom-flashshot-trigger-stop-flex-cable-for-xbox-one-x-s-controller-model-1708-x1md001?pr_prod_strat=copurchase&pr_rec_id=139139752&pr_rec_pid=7561139814650&pr_ref_pid=7561421127930&pr_seq=uniform (https://extremerate.com/products/clicky-hair-trigger-kit-for-xbox-one-x-s-controller-lt-rt-shoulder-buttons-custom-flashshot-trigger-stop-flex-cable-for-xbox-one-x-s-controller-model-1708-x1md001?pr_prod_strat=copurchase&pr_rec_id=139139752&pr_rec_pid=7561139814650&pr_ref_pid=7561421127930&pr_seq=uniform)

According To ExtremeRate the kit must use TP67 (RT) and  TP68 (LT) and a pair of GND, in the 1708 model,  So If I wanna apply this mod to 1797, I'm guessing that I need to use DB38 (LT) DB39 (RT) Am I correct? Does anyone have experience doing that? Or have you already tried?

Electrically they will work fine wired that way, as they are just Tact switches that are grounding out the LT/RT line when pressed. Far as mounting them goes, probably going to be some work there as those shells aren't much alike.
