Would someone be able to help me? I'm thinking of modding my Original PS1 (First Mod), but I need to know a few things.
First, what voltage LEDs do I need, if Im installing them on the left and right of the PS1's insides.
Second, will I need a resistor?
Third, What voltage LED is the Power LED?
Fourth, Where would be a suitable place to connect the LEDs? (Picture please).
Thanks.

i asked awile back, about ware i could find the voltage necisary to power leds and was left haning so i hope you have better luck

OK. Thanks for the heads up.

When you buy Leds, there will most likely be a chart for that exact product even if your buying it from ebay. It will have the voltage, however you need to use the equation V=IR to get the resistance. (Resistor)
I hack psps so I have no knowledge of ps1's or their components. I believe you can get a get a volt meter/ amp meter and check the voltage on the pc board and see if it has the right conditions for your led's.

Thanks for the reply. I'm guessing that if the PSOne (Slim) has 5v LEDs etc, the Original will be the same. Also, I'm probably going to connect the LEDs to the Power LED's contact thingys... If that's possible.

i got fed up with trying to find a decent supply in there so i bought an alternet

go to radio shack and get 5v leds and solder the leds to the led on there also you can power the leds from the front resistors

taetaedrum: can you please elaborate on that?
I'm really trying to add some leds here! D:
