Hi!

I started refurbishing consoles and controllers in my spare time, and I'm having a hard time understanding when a Dualsense battery needs to be replaced. From what I understand, a brand new controller is around 3.8V, but what about a used one at 3.6V? Is it still good? I'm wondering when a battery gets too low for reasonable play time.

xavitofix - Sorry I did not see your post sooner. The marking is YM, good luck though. It has to be some kind of a PNP or P channel FET, as that Resistor is a 1.5k and is on the D+ line for signaling it's a full-speed device when D+ is pulled Up by it. I do not have one here to test for any more information. Best place to get a replacement is from another board so it matches.

@Squeck - 1uF, 0603. No idea on the voltage spec, just get some 25v or higher to be safe.

I?ve repced the x axis on th left stick playstation 5 controller. Now getting th flashing 3 lights. Where do I run a jumper from the middle pin to? Right pain this, spent ages on it. I?ve obviously damaged something taking it off

Haven't traced that circuit out, but looks like it's on one of the mic inputs. Measures as 100pF here, 0201 size, but I doubt it's a Capacitor as the thing is black. Haven't seen any caps yet that weren't tan, brown or gray, so I'd guess it's probably some kind of TVS diode.

@woyeshizuileye - Those Capacitors are just for decoupling on voltage rails. The exact values are not critical.


@KeptWolf769 - Those Resistors are 4.7k, 0402 size. You can get them at places like Digikey, Mouser and the like online.

I just replaced my BDM-040 joysticks with Hall effect joysticks. Everything worked perfectly for a while after being reassembled. It went off just when I was done testing and preparing to calibrate, and has been unresponsive since. I have tried different batteries, but still no response. This is my second time working with a DualSense, and I am a YouTube learner with no formal training in electronics. Can anyone help me out? I swear I can follow instructions. I'm very desperate.

Just realised that 3 of the resistors under the SIDE B label came off, any solutions? links to buy replacements or alterations that can be made.
