mic wont work

i just bought this mic from newegg, becouse i stepped on my old one, well this one doesnt work, nor did my old one, but these mics work on my other custom computer, do u think its the sound card?, the hearing part works good but the mic part wont work, like on mebeam it dont show up on the mic settings. wut can i do?


EDIT: my sound card is entegrated to the mobo, should i get a new wsound card?

ok on the bottom right there should be a lil speaker thing go in there and click advance and it should show a mic and adjust that
ur just gonna have to tinker with it borman

but mines usb so it didnt take much tinkering

Is the mute box muted, try looking around the settings.

Do you have and Sound controlling software?  For example my ASUS K8N board came with software to control the on board audio.  I had the same problem as you, The auto detect feature in my software was half retarded and didn't recognize the mic.  So all I did was "tell" the software that there was indeed a microphone plugged in and not stereo speakers....Asus clientware sucks.
