USB pin lifted off MoBo
« on: January 21, 2008, 05:25:35 PM »
Now I have asked many ppl about this before and they have said the padding (or the copper bits on the mobo) have come off.

Now it is probably really hard but is it possible to repair this or somehow re connected without using padding.

I know that buying a new mobo is easiest solution but I would rather try to fix it. It would be more fullfilling.

USB transfer mode doesn't work anymore but psp is fine.

Well, its not that hard, but can you solder good?
However today I was brutally raped by a door handle, and none of my friends helped me up off the floor after ten minutes, instead they all teabaged me, all 10 of them...

I know how to solder properly but not very good with small stuff. I have ordered a low wattage soldering pencil so that should make it 100% easier the iron I used before was just stupid. Once i get it I will practise on a stuffed mobo I have then I should be alot better.

It was from using a blade to cut the excess solder off when there was way to much on there. Plus the amount of times I did it coz I wasn't using solder paste. I have the right tools coming as I ordered a whole bunch of stuff last week but at the time I was using a soldering iron with far too much wattage and a pretty big tip. Why I tried it I don't know.
